"Low Red" Cherry Vodka Redbull
Our first themed cocktail! All told this is a spin on a vodka Redbull for the Red Rising series. We balance out the typically over aggressive Redbull flavor by adding some cherry to compliment the fruitier notes from the drink. I used a half of shot of the Cherry Concentrate, but would recommend using it to your own personal flavor taste. Would recommend to anyone looking to get shit done!
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Vodka (Reyka)
- One 8.4 oz Redbull
- .5 shots of Cherry Concentrate

Bingham didn't give me much to go on for describing this one. He also only included an off-center and out-of-focus picture of the bottles he used, rather than the drink itself. I forgive him, this time. Citrus and booze, a match made in heaven.
Ingredients:
- 1oz Vodka
- 1oz Triple Sec
- 1oz Lemon Juice

Coldbrew Cocktail
This cocktail... was not awesome. It was made mostly out of desperation, and a need for caffeine. I don't know that I'd recommend it. I might have to make another one and iterate on it some more. None the less, if you're feeling daring, give it a go.
Ingredients:
- 3 Oz Coldbrew
- 1.5 Oz Vodka
- 1 Teaspoon Honey
- Icy Bois

Pomegranate Vodka Gimlet
I had pomegranate juice, and wanted to use it with something. Honestly, I can't remember exactly the proportions, but it seemed like it would be pretty forgiving. Vodka, Pomegranate Juice, Lime Juice, shaken and served over ice with a lime wheel. I'm going to add what I believe are the ratios in the Ingredients section.
Ingredients:
- 2oz Vodka
- 2oz Pomegranate Juice
- 1oz Lime Juice

Is it green? Include It.
Ok, I admit I was not on top of it this week. I tried going for some sort of theme, that being "Green." It essentially turned into a weird Mojito, and was truly refreshing.
The lime, basil, and mint were muddled at the bottom of the glass with the basil simple syrup (very easy to make. Just add several basil leaves to the saucepan while making simple syrup.)
Also, don't forget the ice. Critical mistake on my part. If this drink isn't cold, it kinda sucks. I had to grab a larger glass to accommodate the ice.
Garden Bullshit: 2oz cucumber vodka, 1oz ginger liquor, 1/2oz basil simple syrup muddled with mint, basil, and lime. Garnish with large lime chunk for greenness. Don’t forget the icy bois.
Ingredients:
- 2oz Prairie Organic Cucumber Vodka
- 1oz Ginger Liquor
- 1/2 oz Basil Simple Syrup
- Fresh Mint Leaves
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- Lime wedges
- ICE!!!!
- Club Soda to top

A craft-able cocktail from the Fallout Universe. Created by How 2 Drink
This shot is actually very easy to make. The hardest part might be making the ginger simple syrup which just takes about an hour and lasts for quite a while. How 2 Drink has a great video on the process. The video on actually making the shot is just a drunken tirade on the merits of Fallout 1 and 2, which I am here for.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. -or- 30 ml. Lemon Juice
- 1 oz. -or- 30 ml. Ginger Syrup
- 1 oz. -or- 30 ml. Vodka
- .25 oz. -or- 8 ml. Suze

Ladrian Soother v1
A vodka, ginger, rosemary sour. I think there are some improvements that can be made, so there may be a version 2 coming soon. This is very light, yet complex and layered, with the prevailing taste evolving through each sip.
Ingredients:
- 2oz Reyka Vodka
- 1oz Ginger Liqueur
- 1/2oz Rosemary Simple Syrup
- Lemon swath garnish
- Rosemary sprig garnish

The Jade Emperor (ChatGPT recipe)
I was tasked with creating our featured cocktail for this week, and I decided to play around with ChatGPT for some inspiration. I asked for a recipe that would pair well with "the first 15 chapters of Jade War by Fonda Lee" and the below recipe and description were outputted. In my rendition of this cocktail, I had to make some small changes. First, I used tangerine juice instead of orange juice and omitted the mint garnish, simply due to available ingredients in my kitchen. My vodka infusion was probably also a bit stronger than what the recipe called for. -PJ
To infuse the vodka, add 1-2 green tea bags to a bottle of vodka and let steep for 2-4 hours, depending on how strong you want the tea flavor to be. Remove the tea bags before using. In a shaker filled with ice, combine the infused vodka, honey syrup, lime juice, orange juice, and orange bitters. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until well-chilled. Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. The Jade Emperor is a refreshing and flavorful cocktail that pays homage to the novel's setting and themes. The green tea-infused vodka represents the Jade City, while the honey syrup symbolizes the delicate balance of power between the clans. The citrus juices add a bright note of optimism, while the orange bitters give a subtle touch of bitterness that nods to the looming conflict.
Enjoy the cocktail with your book club as you discuss the first 15 chapters of Jade War, and savor the flavors and complexities of both the drink and the novel. Cheers!
Ingredients:
- 2oz Green Tea infused Vodka
- 3/4oz Honey Syrup
- 1/2oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/2oz Fresh orange juice
- 1 Dash Orange Bitters
- 1 Sprig of Fresh Mint

The Jade Emperor (PJ's recipe)
This recipe is the "tweaked" version of ChatGPT's Jade Emperor. It mostly uses the same ingredients, with some slight changes to the ratios and the addition of an egg white and matcha powder garnish. It is also served up, rather than in an ice-filled lowball. Overall, I think this made for a brighter, more flavorful, and more appealing cocktail. The original version felt fairly muddled. If you listen to the episode, I describe it as "basically just tasting like iced tea".
Add all the ingredients to a shaker without ice, dry shake for a few seconds, then add ice, shake, and strain into a coupe. I used a bench scraper to cover half the frothy surface of the cocktail before sifting matcha powder onto the exposed surface.
Ingredients:
- 2oz Green Tea infused Vodka
- 3/4oz Honey Syrup
- 1/2oz Tangerine Juice
- 1oz Lime Juice
- 4 dashes Orange Bitters
- 1 egg white
- Matcha Powder garnish

The Lemon Drop
I'm gonna be perfectly honest with you: I don't think I understood what a lemon drop was supposed to taste like. I had never truly made the connection between the cocktail and the candy. The only other lemon drops that I've had in my life have been way less sweet and more tart. This recipe, however, tasted exactly like the lemondrop candy. That realization happened while I was talking about it on this episode, and I think it probably sounded like I was dissing it for being too sweet. The less sweet/more tart version is good, certainly, but I think this is better and is probably the actual intention.
Shake all ingredients to combine and serve up, garnish with lemon wheel.
Ingredients:
- 1.5oz Vodka
- .5oz Triple Sec
- 1oz Simple Syrup
- 1oz Lemon Juice

A Clean Blade
It's time for "A Clean Blade." I wanted to make something inspired by the clean bladed duel in Jade War between Shae and Ayt, and this perfectly hit the spot. The idea of the iconic white moonblade got me thinking about other ingredients that could yield a mostly pale drink– and pear juice did just that. Paired with mint, and an egg white dry shaken, this drink was absolutely incredible. I would recommend it universally.
Originally, I made this drink with just vodka, but subbing in a mix of 1.5 oz of Vodka/Gin turned out to be the trick to keep it balanced. This cocktail serves 2.
(P.S. This drink also won a cocktail night I had with friends: It really is a winner!)
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Gin
- .50 oz Maraschino
- 3 oz Pear Juice
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- .25 oz Mint Simple
- 6 Mint leaves, mulled
- Egg White
- Dash of Green Chartreuse
