Planter's Punch
A nice, easy-going tropical drink. As described in the new cocktail recipe book: "This was created by Fred L Myers in the late 19th century. For a modern fruity version, substitute pineapple juice for the water."
I did not have pineapple juice, but that substitution sounds great. Maybe cut back on the simple syrup in that situation, though. I also did not have extra limes to make a lime wheel for the garnish, so I used a lemon wheel instead.
Ingredients:
- 2oz Rum
- 2oz Ice Water
- 1oz Simple Syrup
- 1/2oz Lime Juice
- 3oz Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Lime Wheel

IDK, Tiki Bullshit
Based on this picture, all you can tell is that I live in a cold place, and this drink includes some mint leaves. You'll just have to trust me the rest of the ingredients included actually are in this glass.
I basically just added rum and grenadine, then whatever citrus stuff I had in my fridge. I felt like it needed something visible in my tiki glass, so I added mint. Honestly this turned out better than I thought it would.
Ingredients:
- 1.5oz Clear Rum
- 1.5oz Dark Rum
- 1.5oz Orange Juice
- 1.5oz Lime Juice
- .5oz Grenadine
- Lime Wedges Garnish
- Mint Leaves Garnish

Garret Richards' Hawaiian Mai Tai
I took this recipe from an Educated Barfly YouTube video, featuring Garret Richards.
The acid adjusted pineapple juice is created by adding both citric and malic acid to the pineapple juice so it has the same acid content as lime juice. What results is an amazing and interesting liquid that TASTES like pineapple but FEELS like lime. It's hard to explain.
Flash blended and open poured over spent lime wedge. Usually served with mint sprig, but I’m running late and don’t want to go outside
Ingredients:
- 2.25oz Rum (Smith and Cross)
- 0.5oz Triple Sec
- 1oz Acid Adjusted Pineapple Juice
- 0.75oz Orgeot
- 2 dashes saline solution
- squeeze of lime wedge

"The Sleepless Pillar"
Inspired by Kaul Lanshinwan from Jade City, this is a crisp cocktail with ginger spice and evocative notes of caramel. The thought here was to take Sake, of which is generally very delicate, and pair it up with a much more aggressive spirit, without overwhelming the whole flavor profile. It works very well!
Add all ingredients to a shaker, and shake. Garnish with squeeze of lime peel. Stay cut, Keke.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Dry Sake (Bride of the Fox)
- 1.25 oz Barrel Aged Rum
- .5 oz Lemon Juice
- .5 oz Ginger Simple Syrup
- A dash of Green Chartreuse
